Also, when I get home, I can send you a NY Times article where Ford justifies paying his employees high wages and a bonus or dividend based on the company's profits when other businesses were attacking him for it. At the end of the article, he states his secret to success is staying out of debt.

President Herbert Hoover with the trio. Hoover could have ended the Depression in a month had he adopted Thomas Edison's scheme for the government printing money instead of bonds that demand repayment at interest. Ford and Edison knew what was wrong as well as what changes would put things right.

The Dearborn Independent, also know as The Ford International Weekly, was a weekly newspaper established in 1901, but published by Henry Ford from 1919 through 1927. The first issue under Ford’s direction appeared on January 11, 1919. The subtitle of the publication was "Chronicler of the Neglected Truth." It created a sensation when it published the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and later ran the headline, “The International Jew: The World’s Problem” on May 22, 1920.

In 1918, Ford negotiated to buy the Independent from Marcus Woodruff, who had been running it at a loss. The initial staff of the newspaper included previously managing editor of the Detroit News. The paper was printed on a used press purchased by Ford and installed in Ford's tractor plant in The Rouge. Publication under Mr. Ford was inaugurated in January 1919. In June 1919 with coverage of the libel lawsuit between Henry Ford and the Chicago Tribune, as the stories were picked up nationally.

Ford did not write, but rather expressed his opinions verbally to his executive secretary, Ernest Liebold, and to the paper's editor William J. Cameron. Cameron had the responsibility for writing the articles and expanding Ford's views within them. Liebold--with the assistance of detectives and investigators-- provided a constant flow of research findings for writers to draw upon.

Many of its articles and essays were collected and published in a book called "The International Jew: The World's Foremost Problem." It was a bestseller in Germany before Hitler was well known and in the US election year of 1920 it helped clarify the difference between the economy and society of Woodrow Wilson, Bernard Baruch and internationalism one hand and that promise of "normalcy" given and kept by Warren Harding and his running mate Calvin Coolidge on the other. The Dearborn Indpendent helped the nation realize that they could live in a country not driven by the Rothschild agenda.

Ford discovered that Jewish bankers dominated and diminished the country.

He realized that too much immigration lowers wages and the American standard of living.

He knew that labor unions were "the worst thing that ever struck the earth" and that union bosses wer not so much interested in raising wages as in promoting conflict to wreck independent businessmen and ready the country for bloody revolution.

Jewish bankers planned economic panics and depressions and made them happen; their banking houses were responsible for pushing nations into the Great War which Ford, more than any other citizen worked hardest and spent more money to stop.

Had the people heeded his warnings and kept with American "normalcy" the 20th Century would have ended much more happily.

In an interview published in the New York World February 17, 1921, Mr. Henry Ford put the case for the "Protocols of Zion" tersely and convincingly. He said: "The only statement I care to make about the Protocols is that they fit in with what is going on. They are sixteen years old and they have fitted the world situation up to this time. They fit it now." He made this statement when Jewish leaders and the Jewish Press in America were fulminating against a series of articles printed in Ford's newspaper The Dearborn Independent during the years 1920 to 1922.

After some years of pressure such as only organized Jewry can conceive or inflict, Henry Ford was made to apologise to Jewry in a letter addressed to Louis Marshall, then leader of the American Jewish Committee, dated June 30, 1927. Ford's apology was abject, but neither then nor since did he ever deny the truth of the articles.

As clearly as the "Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" reveal a concerted plan of action, of intention and achievement, through centuries of world history, so the long series of articles in The Dearborn Independent expose the powerful concentration of forces organized by Jewish interests and the effects of Jewish influences in the United States from the time of the Civil War up to the uneasy years following the first world war. The scope of the original articles is wide, the analysis of the relentless march of Jewish ambition and the rapid acquisition of political power is deep and dispassionate. In their entirety they present a most thorough exposition of the range of Jewish influences in America over many decades; they provide adequate evidence of the motives that inspire such phenomena and the ultimate objective towards which Jewish policy is leading the world. In the 29 years that have passed since the publication of the series began, Jewish power in the United States has developed to a degree far out-distancing even the alarming proportions exposed at that time.

The Jewish "National State" of which we have heard so much deceptive talk elsewhere is already firmly established. De jure and de facto the United States of America can claim that title, though many American citizens may even yet be astonished and no doubt indignant to read the statement.

But, examine the FACTS. The Dearborn Independent articles fitted the American scene 30 years ago, they fit it now! The Jewish Question continues to mount the scale of public attention all over the civilized world, attracting ever a higher type of mind to the discussion of its significance. It cannot be encompassed within the range of a single volume.

This edited version seeks merely to give the gist of the four volumes in which the famous series of articles were printed under the title: THE INTERNATIONAL JEW. Presenting the essential facts in easier sequence and condensed to about one-tenth of the original wordage, many contemporary illustrations have been eliminated, but the implications of the Jewish Question in America and the evidence of the impact of the Jewish Idea on the lives of ordinary American citizens have been marshalled in a form readily assimilable by new readers, providing a useful digest for the informed. The way to a just solution of "the world's foremost problem" is clearly indicated.

Truth is visible when honest men seek Her diligently. The reader, wherever he may be, to whatever nation he may belong, should seriously reflect upon the fact that the conditions long-operating in the United States and the conclusions which emerge from this investigation of the Jewish Question in that powerful country, can, in all probability, now be paralleled in his own land, his own city. If he should seek confirmation -- let him look around.

Hitler liked Ford. Want to make something of it?

On July 30th, 1938, Ford's 75th birthday, he was awarded the Grand Cross of the Supreme Order of the German Eagle. This decoration was only the fourth ever awarded by Germany. Benito Mussolini had been decorated with the same honor earlier that same year. The presentation was made by the German consul of Cleveland, Karl Kapp, and the German consul Fritz Hailer of Detroit. And so on 30 July 1938, Ford celebrated his 75th birthday by receiving the Grand Cross of the German Eagle -- a golden Maltese cross embraced by four swastikas -- the most important honor that Germany might offer a non-citizen. The medal was presented by the German consuls from Cleveland and Detroit in Ford's Dearborn office, (12)

A longtime admirer of Ford's, Adolf Hitler sent a personal note of gratitude to be delivered at the ceremony. Signed on July 7, the parchment scroll warmly thanked Ford for his "humanitarian ideals" and his devotion, along with the German Chancellor, to "the cause of peace." (13)

Before the 1930's, there had been many efforts to create simple cars that everyone could afford, but apart from the Ford Model T, none met with profound success. Almost all cars before 1930, even if they were designed to be simple enough for the average person, ended up costing more than the average worker's yearly wage.

In 1933, Adolf Hitler met with Ferdinand Porsche to discuss Hitler's idea of a people's car that could carry 5 people, cruise up to 62mph, return 33mpg, and cost only 1000 Reich Marks. This was an opportunity for Porsche to push this idea of a small car foward, as was it to help Hitler get a real people's car for the citizens of Germany.

Initially, Porsche designated this design the Type 60, but it was soon changed to the V1 (experimental 1). Hitler also proposed to have a convertible version produced: it was designated V2. Porsche was not able to make the deadline to finish the first two prototypes, as there was not enough time to physically design the cars and to built them. In any case, they were completed and driving by 1935.

In 1938, construction began on the KdF Wagen factory, and on the town that was going to be next to the factory. In 1939, several VW38s (pre-production) and VW39s (demonstration cars) were produced just to show that the factory did work, and to show what the final version of the car would look like. This edition of the car was the basis of the Beetle after the war was over.

When the V38s were introduced, Hitler abruptly changed the name of the car to KdF Wagen. KdF stood for "Kraft durch Freude" which meant "Strength through Joy."

Ford inspired Euopeans -- one in particular

The Independent's circulation reached half a million from 1923 to 1927. The Independent had a book published called, "The International Jew," the book was translated into 16 different languages including Arabic. Ford's book became a successful training and recruiting tool. Baldur von Schirach, leader of the Hitler Youth, said "You have no idea what a great influence this book had on all of German youth."

Hitler's kept a large picture of Ford on the wall beside Hitler's desk in the Brown House.

"I wish that I could send my Sturmabteilung ..." ("storm detachment," Hitler's rough and ready uniformed supporters who recruited members and protected Nationalist Society German Workman's Party meetings and demonstrations from often violent communist counter-demonstrators) ... "to help Heinrich Ford become the leader of the struggle in America."

In February 1921, the New York World published an interview with Ford, in which he said "The only statement I care to make about the Protocols is that they fit in with what is going on."

The end of the Dearborn Indpendent

In 1927, a Jewish lawyer and farm cooperative organizer named Aaron Sapiro sued Ford for defamation. This was the third anti-Independent lawsuit. but the first to go to trial. The suit dragged on for weeks and ended in a mistrial. Rather than face another Ford agreed to a private settlement with Sapiro. He was required to stop the editorial campagin and to issue a public apology for his newspaper's years of defamatory content--"to my great regret," he wrote, "I have learned that Jews...resent this publication as promoting anti-Semitism"--and at the end of 1927 the Independent was no more.

In 1915, Ford chartered a ship and sailed off to Europe in an effort to end WWI. On board that ship, Ford told a well known pacifist, Madame Rozika Schwimmer, "I know who started this war—the German Jewish bankers." No war can happen without bankers willing to finance it. A war happens because bankers, who own the corporations as well as the banks, prosper. They are the only ones who gain. oodrow Wilson, told Ford to stop his "vicious propaganda." The Jews began a campaign by ordering "positively no Ford machines should be permitted." Soon, no Jewish business or individual would have anything to do with Ford's products. The drop in orders of Ford's cars was severe.

The Dearborn Publishing Company published The Dearborn Independent newspaper. At the peak of its popularity, the Dearborn, Michigan paper, owned by auto magnate Henry Ford Sr., boasted a circulation of 700,000. The Dearborn Independent first attacked Jews in its May 22, 1920 issue and continued to do so in 91 subsequent editions.

Many of the paper's anti-Semitic articles were reprinted by the Dearborn Publishing Company in four paper-bound volumes: The International Jew, the World. s Foremost Problem (November, 1920); Jewish Activities in the United States (April, 1921); Jewish Influences in American Life (November, 1921); and Aspects of Jewish Power in the United States (May, 1922). Collectively known as The International Jew: The World's Foremost Problem, these volumes were later published in a variety of languages and disseminated widely in the United States and abroad.

on May 22, 1920 The Independent burst forth with a violent attack on Jews. He introduced the words "The International Jew: the World's Problem." These infamous words became a favorite motto of the NSDAP (Nazi Party), and Ford's new friend Hitler.

For decades, The International Jew has been in the public domain. It can be reprinted by anyone who wishes to do so. In the late 1950s, anti-Semite Gerald L.K. Smith edited and published an abridged version of The International Jew culled from the original Dearborn Independent articles. The complete text of Smith's version now is easily found at many hate sites on the World Wide Web.

he International Jew portrayed Jews as monolithic, malicious schemers plotting to control the planet. "If there is one quality that attracts Jews, it is power," the book stated. "Wherever the seat of power may be, thither they swarm obsequiously."

The Dearborn Independent saw Jews as carrying out "revolutionary programs to break up the present control of society." These "revolutionary programs" revolve around economic control: the Jewish plan is "to control the world, not by territorial acquisition, not by military aggression, not by governmental subjugation, but by control of the machinery of commerce and exchange." According to The International Jew, "it is not merely that there are a few Jews among international financial controllers; it is that these world-controllers are exclusively Jews." The book claimed that "the motion picture influence of the United States, of the whole world, is exclusively under the control, moral and financial, of the Jewish manipulators of the public mind."

The International Jew did not portray Jews as individuals, but as a single-minded, calculating cabal. Conflict among Jews, no matter how real, was painted as a sly trick, part of the Jewish plot. Even the conflict between socialist Jews and capitalist Jews was denied. Jewish socialists and Jewish businesspeople were believed to be working in tandem, "with Jewish capital at one end of the Gentile working scheme putting the screws on the manufacturers, and with Jewish agitators and disruptionists and subversives at the other end of the Gentile working scheme putting the screws on the workmen."

In fact, like other people, Jews involve themselves in non-religious and professional activity as individuals, not as Jews. The number of Jews involved in a particular field bears no relationship to "Jewish power" or "Jewish control" of that industry. Jews do not act in concert with other Jews in the same business simply because they happen to be Jewish.

The International Jew also attacked Jews for speaking out about injustice and defending their constitutional rights. " Jewish rights seemed to be summed up in the right to banish everything from their sight and hearing that suggests Christianity or its Founder," it commented. In fact, these so-called "Attacks on Christianity" were reasonable Jewish objections to governmental expressions of Christianity which clearly violated the separation between church and state enshrined in the Constitution.

According to The International Jew, demonstrably true Jewish accounts of pogroms in Russia were nothing but fabrications. "This propaganda of pogroms . . thousands upon thousands of Jews killed. . amounts to nothing except as it illustrates the gullibility of the Press," the book stated. "No one believes this propaganda and governments regularly disprove it." Such statements foreshadowed the pernicious lies spread today by Holocaust deniers.

The International Jew blamed nearly all the troubles it saw in American society on Jews. "Whichever way you turn to trace the harmful streams of influence that flow through society, you come upon a group of Jews," it claimed. Even problems with the "national pastime" were attributed to Jewish influence: "If fans wish to know the trouble with American baseball, they have it in three words too much Jew."

Henry Ford paid a $15 bottom wage 100 Years Ago
