Besides, don`t forget, my back yard "Ghost" told me almost 24 hours ahead of time that "An Evil Spirit will Visit". So he was "scheduled" to GO?..!!! .... Dependence remains the order of the day for America -- and Americans. Further, you can't question this any more without being a racist, offensive, or even "dangerous" and put on some list and threatened with your civil liberties being cut off. Whether it's a "student" at Yale who cries emotional poverty when his mother dies and his fiance' leaves him (never mind that the point of a Yale "education" is to be one of the "tough minds" that can slog through such adversity) or so-called "transgendered teens" demanding to use the girls locker rooms (heh, how come we never hear of trans girls wanting to use the boys locker room?) the list of outright fraud and stupidity couched in political correctness and being "owed" something by society continues to build. Its even worse when the hero worship garbage comes in aimed at cops; the man who brings a body bag to cart off your dead ass because you were too much of a pussy to take responsibility for the defense of yourself and your loved ones deserves his paycheck but certainly no amount of fawning and fealty is appropriate. This same sort of stupidity extends to the "ALS Craze" in various fire departments, including ours. Do the math folks; if you arrest sitting in your living room you have 4 minutes before you're odds-on to be either dead or severely and permanently brain-damaged. Even if you live a mile or less from the fire station and someone witnesses you drop, managing to get the 911 call off within 30 seconds, the odds of you having an EMT's hands-on-chest within those 4 minutes approaches zero. The statistical fact is that just 25% of the people who have a cardiac arrest in a hospital live long enough to depart in something other than a box or bag. That's if you arrest in a hospital where every available medical intervention is immediately available! So where's the "value" in so-called ALS? Missing, that's where, yet city after city, town after town, large and small toss a half-million bucks at hardware and then hundreds of thousands a year in salaries, maintenance and recurring training to "provide" this so-called "service" while you lap it up and swallow the cost so it can "improve your odds of survival by 25-50%." What you're not told because you don't ask is that your base odds were well under 10% to start with so for all that money down the toilet every year your odds of survival, if you have the "big one", go from 4% to 5 or 6%. Wow, man, "what a difference." NOT.....
