Are you advocating the use of tools known to the state of California to be dangerous to the ozone and adding to global warning?

Someone threw away a perfectly good paint spray gun - old high pressure air type. I pretty well knew ahead of time what would be wrong with it. The paint cup on spray guns must BREATH a little air to compensate for the paint being sucked and sprayed out. If plugged up, a vacuum develops stopping the paint transfer to the nozzle. If no paint is flowing, there`s the first place to look for the trouble. You need very thin wires handy for the unplugging - be prepared.

Cleanliness is important with both types.

 

If you are a perfectionist and want a perfect finish on an item; furniture, gunstock, musical instrument, auto parts, etc. - i.e.; That new Grand Piano glossy shine, here is the secret;

 

It`s NOT the "paint"!  It`s the sealer or primer underneath. The primer or sealer must be built up and progressively fine sanded to a near gloss and perfection of the eventual finish. It`s that simple; It`s what`s UNDER the paint that determines the beauty of the finish. Yes, You can use an additional clear-coat, a rubbing compound or micro-finish rub out later for an even higher gloss. but that`s the simple secret to the perfect glossy paint finish.  L.
