Dear friends, | They spend the short months of their lives locked up in cages atop their excrement, sometimes crammed next to their dead siblings. Infection, cannibalism and self-mutilation are rife.
They're waiting to be killed – for their fur.
Intelligent wild species like foxes and mink are being farmed in the heart of Europe, but now we have a chance to stop this cruelty.
A massive campaign hopes to force the European Commission to ban fur farms and farmed fur products from the European market. The process of an official European Citizens' Initiative is a bit more fiddly and a window for impact is open now – so if we make this extra huge fast, hitting the needed numbers across all countries, we can stop this cruelty: |

| An undercover investigation in Poland just shed light on the suffering inflicted on silver foxes for profit. In Denmark, millions of mink were culled after Covid-19 outbreaks among the animals on fur farms – also highlighting the health risks connected to these farms.
Some EU member states have already banned fur production – but what's needed is a consistent ban across all 27 countries. There couldn't be a better moment to supercharge the campaign: The EU Commission is currently reviewing animal welfare legislation, and a surge of citizen voices right now can show them a fur ban needs to be part of any new law!
