So let me see if I get this right.

If you threaten to shoot a mass number of people, that would be considered making a terrorist threat.  If you actually did it or attempted to do it, that would be actual terrorism.

Unless, of course, you threaten to shoot people who are going to vote for Trump. Then you get to simply resign.  Because, you see, you likened his campaign to Hitler's and, therefore, you claim, you should shoot(kill, murder, etc) all of his supporters.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The co-chair of the Colorado Springs chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union resigned on Friday after posting on Facebook that he would shoot Donald Trump supporters before election day.

Loring Wirbel told The Gazette the post was not meant to be taken seriously, but he acknowledged it could be seen as offensive.

"It was intended totally as a joke," he said. "They are taking that stuff out of context. It's smear politics."

Oh sure it is.  It's entirely a "joke" when you post on Facebook that....

Along with a USA Today opinion article calling Trump a fear monger, Wirbel posted, in part, "We have to really reach out to those who might consider voting for Trump and say, 'This is Goebbels. This is the final solution. If you are voting for him I will have to shoot you before election day.'"

That's a specific, articulated threat to commit murder.  Remember that there was a man arrested for saying that certain judges deserved to die -- not that he intended to commit the murders himself, but that they had it coming.  There was an actual prosecution for that, I remind you.

And Wirbel?  Where's the indictment?  Where's the arrest?  And why is Daniel Cole questioning whether it is appropriate rather than calling for his arrest and prosecution?

I guess threatening to murder people -- specific people too -- is ok provided they are the right people?

Hmmm..... I think we ought to keep an eye on that.
