THE OVERTHROW OF THE OLIGARCHY OF THE 300' Writes Konstantine Konstantinides Amphiktyon

THE OVERTHROW OF THE OLIGARCHY OF THE 300'                                         Writes  Konstantine Konstantinides Amphiktyon                                                                                                                                                                                                                   According to Plato, regimes deteriorate over time and change form:

 a/ Aristocracy turns into tymocracy

b/ Timocracy (Spartan regime modeled on virtue) turns into

c/ Oligarchy. This turns into money-grabbery and paves the way for

d/ Democracy This turns into mobocracy and anarchy Then the people demand Aristocracy and the cycle continues The Seven Years' War was for the country the Spartan regime and saved the country from filocracy, mobocracy and the danger of transition to communism. This, despite its mistakes, offered positive results in a short period of time and today the situation would be different if foreign and local forces had not overthrown the Papadopoulos regime, when in fact it had initiated democratization. Various internal and external factors wanted to change it and then we fell into the "Oligarchy of the 300". A nominal democracy but in essence an Oligarchy of offspring and dolphins elected through elections directed by the media. The "Oligarchy of 300" that has ruled us for half a century has brought about major disasters:

1/ Betrayal and occupation of 40% of Cyprus with those responsible: Karamanlis, Ioannidis, Makarios),

2/ Stock Exchange theft, Olympic games, Bankruptcy for a decade and imposition of Memoranda, etc.

3/ Appeasement policy towards Turkey with claims now of half the Aegean. It has now slipped into mobocracy and scoundrelism and is unable to govern the country. (Only two of its ministers are distinguished: the Minister of National Defense N. Dendias and the Minister of Finance Pierrakakis) It is no coincidence that the people, based on opinion polls, have lost their trust in it. The transition to real Democracy can be done in three ways: 1/ By intervention of the Military Council. However, this is ruled out because no soldier will dare, if he is faced with life imprisonment like the Aprilists. 2/ By a revolution of the people. This is already happening today. 3/ After a major national disaster, a general uprising of the countryside with tractors, what else could it mean except a revolution against the Oligarchy of 300? Mr. Mitsotakis wants to degrade it, but even if he temporarily stops the tractors, he will still find it constantly reinforced with new protesters, because the problems despite the apparent prosperity are many and unsolvable in our daily lives, namely: "The agricultural problem, kleptocracy-favoritism, punctuality, insecurity-crime, corruption-looting of public wealth, the dissolution of institutions (dysfunction of Justice), appeasement towards Turkey, Demographic, Immigration, Housing, Traffic, Bureaucracy, etc. problems that plague our daily lives." The disintegration of the state is also due to the subordination of Justice to the party in order to freely rob the public wealth without risk of punishment. The dissolution of the ruling party is imminent, with the former prime ministers and the MPs of the New Democracy party facing the rebellious people. The Government is now unable to govern the country, even without an opposition, because the same miserable state of lack of trust prevails in the opposition parties and factions. The current regime, despite some bright flashes, has fallen into crisis and multiple turmoil and disrespect. The OPEKEPE scandal is simply the tip of the iceberg which clearly shows the plundering of public wealth and community subsidies by the swindlers, "frapedes" and cunning party leaders. Thus, the country has fallen into a form of semi-anarchy with anarchist and mafia criminals prevailing in the big cities over the security forces, the youth in a state of frenzy, crime and violence rampant, illegal immigrants arriving by the thousands and accumulating in the capital, the Turks demanding half of the Aegean and Mr. Mitsotakis boasting that his Government is one of the best in Europe. The next logical development is the exit from the crisis with the country's transition from the Oligarchy of the 300's transformation to a real Democracy. However, this cannot be done with the current Constitution, nor with the demolition materials of the decadent parties. The new regime of the Republic must spring from a People's National Assembly of all classes from the will of the people. The continuation of the current regime of the "Oligarchy of 300" which sprang from the major disaster for Hellenism, if it continues, will lead us to a new national disaster worse than that of 1974 and the memoranda. And this is brewing in the Aegean. Every responsible citizen must assume the responsibilities that are his or hers and strengthen the country's renewal movement in an organized manner.  Not to be diverted into anarchy by the forces that lurk to manipulate it and divert it into an anarchist movement as they see fit to maintain themselves longer in power, even through a new catastrophe.

The democratic people as a whole must rally against the 300 tyrants and bring Democracy to the land, as dreamed of by the fighters of 1821 and the first governor Ioannis Kapodistrias (13/12/25)
