We have met with elected officials and discussed with them the importance of maintaining the strength of the Greece-US alliance and the strategic position of Cyprus for US interests. Greece Calls on NATO’s European Allies to Boost Defense Spending
Greece’s PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis called on all European NATO allies on Tuesday to boost their defense spending and create a common anti-missile defense given the developments in Ukraine and the Middle East.
President Nikos Christodoulides of the Republic of Cyprus reportedly presented his strategic vision and the theoretical and practical aspects of the potential future integration of Cyprus into NATO – contingent on favorable political conditions – during his recent meeting with US President Joe Biden in the Oval Office.
