THE GREEK CULTURAL EMPIRE

"The greatest honor to be Greek"

From time immemorial, the Greek nation spread throughout the world. The causes are many, such as the restless spirit, the peculiar psyche of the Greek, the tendency to "self-interest", but also other reasons such as: economic, political, the spirit of discord, etc. Since the depths of prehistory, the Greeks have been settled in Asia Minor, Southern Italy, around the Black Sea as compact Pelasgian populations. Also, Greek tribes reached the Near East and Egypt from Crete and Cyprus. There they built many cities that still bear Greek names. Much later, they also inhabited the Mediterranean coasts in the European South, but also on the coasts of North Africa. A great blow was the change of religion A large part of Hellenism was lost when in the 3rd AD. X century the Roman Empire, using Christianity as an instrument, began a great persecution against the Greeks. It destroyed its temples, its libraries, its statues, its schools and, worst of all, it banned its native religion. It forced them to respect a foreign religion, Christianity, to renounce its symbols, even its national identity, on penalty of death. Thus it forced him to become a "Roman citizen" or "Roman" as he became after his long slavery to the Turkish tyrants. Thus we are the only nation with two essential religions: a/ the Ancient Greek Fatherland for Culture b/ Orthodoxy for prayer. This division will one day end with the merging of both into one. May we see it. The patriotism and love of the Greeks for the place united them in the places they found themselves, they created temples, communities, ethno-local associations and survived. Wherever the Greek element stepped, it created progress and a culture similar to that of its home. Despite the difficulties and the myriad problems, the persecutions and Genocides on the part of the barbarian populations, the Greek was able to survive, thrive and become loved by the local element, because the expatriate Greeks were people of culture and progress. The Unenslaved Hellenism of the Black Sea. We must make special mention of the Greeks of the Black Sea. They offered much to the motherland and most importantly, we owe our freedom to the Greeks of Russia, who with the "Friendly Society" which started in Odessa lit the flame of the Revolution in 1821. But also the Greek merchants and businessmen with their abundant funds supported the struggle. Later they continued to help the reunifying Greece with donations for schools, hospitals, institutions, the Greek National Banks, etc. The spirit of the national benefactors continues to this day with the two main national benefactors Aristotle Onassis and Stavros Niarchos and a multitude of small and large benefactors. The Great Greek Diaspora of the USA. We do not forget in our days the great interest of the Greek Diaspora in the difficult days of the Occupation with the sending of food and after the Second World War multiple aid. Today the Diaspora in the USA stands successfully against the revisionist and expansionist Turkey, but also the struggle they gave for the NON-recognition of Skopje as Macedonia. The 50,000 Greeks who defied the torrential rain and gathered in front of the White House on Sunday, May 31, demanding that the Slavic state with the name or derivative "Macedonia" not be recognized, showed in the most intense way their national consciousness. The Greek Diaspora of Australia and South America appears in the same intense way, as well as the small communities of Greeks in Africa. Smaller is the flame of Hellenism in Europe, which is obviously influenced by the decadent parties of the motherland The Enslaved Greeks. Therefore, Hellenism of the Diaspora is considered to be the Hellenism scattered throughout the world, with the exception of three parts: Cyprus, Northern Epirus and the few remaining after the horrible persecutions Greeks of Constantinople-Imbros and Tenedos. They are still enslaved. Hellenism outside the borders is a living and vigorous extension of the Greek Nation. But it has been completely abandoned by the Greek state The most distinguished gene is the Pontic people. We must especially mention the vigorous and vigorous Pontic Hellenism, which is the guardian of the Black Sea and despite the fact that it was persecuted and massacred by criminal Turkey and exiled to the depths of Asia by Stalin, it has not lost its spirit, its vitality for repatriation one day to the homeland of its ancient ancestors. These include the Greeks of Russia and Ukraine, who have become victims of the Russian-Ukrainian war.  

 

There are also the Philhellenes. To these we must always add the Philhellenes everywhere who are either long assimilated in their new homelands and have lost their Greek consciousness, but retain their Greek origin as a memory, but also the Philhellenes who, due to education, love Greece as the mother of world civilization and respect and preserve Greek values. Many of them visit us as tourists, speak our language, love our food, our cuisine, our songs and generally our way of life. Today, with tourism, they are a large number, but our state does nothing to have them close to it.

PROPOSALS

 1/ The National Center has the obligation and duty to keep the fire burning in the Greek communities around the world 2/ To give all Greeks abroad the vote and the right to elect representatives in the Greek Communities 3/ The Greek diaspora has the obligation to invest a part of their wealth in the motherland so that it remains free. The Greek state must take initiatives to attract these and re-establish permanent ties with the Greek-owned business, commercial and shipping capital. 4/ The Greek state should send teachers to all Greek communities for the full learning of the Greek language and history by the children of the Diaspora. Part of the burden of the educational staff's expenses should also be borne by the Greek diaspora 5/ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries should coordinate their actions with the representative diaspora bodies to promote Greek goals in the international community. However, the Greek state should also take into account the suggestions of the diaspora on issues that concern them. 6/ Diaspora scientists, researchers and experts in defense systems from all over the world should cooperate closely with the Ministry of National Defense for the development of the Greek Defense Industry. It is a national necessity to confront Turkey in the upcoming war 7/ The Ministries of Finance and Innovation should cooperate closely with Greek business capital for the development of the sector in Greece. To this end, all obstacles such as: bureaucracy, courts, "kickbacks" and "rusfet" should be removed 8/ Obligation of all expatriates to naturalize their Greek children in order to increase the population of the homeland. The Greek state should remove the complicated procedures for this purpose 9/ To expel all illegal immigrants from the country 10/ To create a Ministry of Diaspora whose responsibilities should be: a/ to strengthen the Greek Communities b/ To conduct the Cultural Campaign of Hellenism. When Turkey exports its criminal autocracy with Islamofascism, Ottoman model and Turanism, we should not remain indifferent. 11/ The strongest factors in our defense are the strengthening of the Armed Forces and our Culture. The Greek Cultural Cosmocracy should spread throughout the world. A huge force, Hellenism: political, economic, scientific, artistic, naval, touristic and above all cultural, remains inactive, untapped. So far, we have not undertaken a single Cultural Campaign like Erdogan's Turkey is doing with the "Blue Homeland". We must unleash our forces on issues of Culture, Religion, Tourism and others that concern the dense expatriate Hellenism of Russia, the East, Northern Epirus, Southern Italy, etc. We must also develop a cultural relationship with China, where Classical Education flourishes and our Merchant Fleet sails to its ports. Finally, the Greek state must change radically in order to protect our vital national interests and stop political dependence on foreign powers on issues that harm our national interests.
