Many can`t read a tape measure. Gas engines back then had a ROPE you wound up and pulled. Engines of all kinds had CHOKES to enrich the mixture for starting up. Air Conditioning? My 1935 Ford coupe had a roll out windshield and roll down rear window. And a true fluid gas gauge. 6 Volt system was lousy. Reading Books? Today they would get headaches. The youth ARE brainwashed today - I`ve talked to them. When I bought my first Peterbilt tractor for trucking I barely got it home. I called the salesman and said "You know the synchros in this transmission are shot!" He said; Len, there aren`t any synchros in that transmission. You`ll have to just learn to shift it. It took about a year to get good at it. And the turn signals didn`t automatically turn off! Manually adjust the brakes too. - A primative machine. The cost of fuel for this now is outrageous;
