Ah yes, the Decline and Fall of Ancient Rome. Many History analysts have studied the situation and the messages are clear.  There really were certain causes; In a nutshell...

Since THIS is front and center today with Europe and America REALLY at the CROSSROAD racially, Here you go;
Race; The uncontrolled influx of Aliens;
The influx into the empire of so many varied races; slaves, barbarians, and savages who did not know or understand the founders "Patrician Values" - the genuine "Republic" of ancient Rome... This caused the need for increased centralized despotism power to control the increasing corruption, rebellion, and Mobocracy.
Religion;
Under Emperor Constantine, who himself was a "Briton" - that`s right! [an Alien!] Like America today with Commie-Obama who does not share America`s values, or Sarkozy in France. Anyway, it was decided that the numerous Religions in Rome [53+; Rome`s Freedom of Religion] were tearing the empire apart, so Constantine wanted to consolidate these down to ONE Roman Religion; Which led to the founding of Christianity in it`s infancy.
Money;
Rome went from Gold to Silver to Copper to Lead in coinage. THEN since the lead was worthless, the actual economy went to BARTER. And THIS destroyed the central government since it could not collect TAXES efficiently off of Barter.
Population Reduced;
The population of ancient Rome dropped by 1/3rd in the collapse.
Crime, Corruption, Anarchy;
Ancient Rome itself became ruled by what we call today; "Inner city gangs of Barbarians" - that`s all that were left!
The Medieval DARK AGE;
The collapse of central Authority brought the very small fiefdom structure for many centuries and the resulting return to primitive lifestyle techniques.  L.
