![]() ![]() Winter is Coming;
Here`s a small tip that will help; Lubricate all of your locks where the keys go in with just a shot of penetrating or light oil. Lubricate more of the lock if you can. So when the snow and ice comes you won`t have frozen locks to suffer with. Lubricate a frost-free faucet too. It`s a burdensome nuisance to have to scrap ice from your windshield, so cover it with just cardboard the night before. Doesn`t always work! Tire chains? Have some "bungee" rubber stretch straps ready to take up the looseness in those chains - easier than struggling in the cold to tighten them. Your car battery had better be in good shape for this weather! Clean the terminals and connectors good before the freezing weather hits. Drain the gas out of your lawn mower now, so next year it will start! How many YEARS and Miles has it been since you changed out your fuel filter? Fuel filters are funny! You might go way past the recommended mileage and be perfectly OK! BUT! You don`t want trouble with this in a cold winter. At 30,000 miles is generally the recommended limit. Gamblers go 100,000.+ 3 Attachments
