Subject: Money = Happiness? Uh, Not Exactly;

{Nietzsche; Happiness is not the goal! "Will to Power" is the goal.  Yeah but!  Wait a minute! I`ve known Rich people who were not happy with any of it!  The Philosopher digs deeper here and finds complexity.  Better yet, why not define happiness and forget the rest since the rest is various degrees of misery?

There are certain LAWS concerning money [and other things!] as my own father, Doris Day, Paul Krugman,  Ed McMahan and Redd Foxx found out. Or Bernie Madoff; The Government plays the same cash-flow mega-fraud on a much bigger scale so don`t be surprised when we HIT the Mega-Collapse Brick Wall as Denninger keeps reminding. Historically, THIS brick wall can KILL YOU.   The numbers indicate this one will be a real killer in terms of Civil War, Chaos, and especially FAMINE.
You can push past the limit in "Religion" like Jim Jones too, or Jim and Tammy Bakker.

My own experience with wealth; It can burden your life with a lot of excess Hedonism and especially responsibility. Most people fail at "wealth" for simple reasons; They are too undisciplined to keep from CONSUMING it!  They use it wrong by enslaving themselves in Debt. And it generally takes an almost inhuman level of patience and wisdom to manage it. Then there is the EGO, and youth desired "Sexual Will to Power"; Subterranean and Frantic cravings worse than Gold Fever. All this can cause a continual money craving. It`s better to gain the understanding of it and thereby control it. Wealth-Money-CASH can be simply a "TOOL" to make more money. But this requires the REVERSE perspective of the masses with credit cards, home mortgages, and auto loans.

THIS Age is hostile to it; Visible wealth generally causes you to pay more Taxes for a nicer auto, home, business, hobbies, energy consumption. One is easily trapped into a "hamster in a revolving cage" existence by it!  And then there are so, SO many predators wanting to take what you have!
My aunt and uncle were truly millionaires in the old days. Did it change them? No. Did it change their lifestyle? Yes, but the effect was not as satisfying or dramatic as you would think. But they got invited to many weddings and baby showers.
Here`s someone else that is waking up to these realities;    More on "Happiness" - that INTERNAL happy "Soul Condition" later. L.}

A new study suggests that money actually does buy happiness

“What a pile of garbage. There is no correlation between happiness and money. None.”

Oh yeah?
Half the world works just to survive. But the other half works to get ahead. It aims to get richer. Why so much effort if there is no connection – none at all – to happiness?

And why are so many people investing their money, if not in the hope that it will be fructified… making them wealthier?
