TURNING FEAR INTO POWER-Be gentle, be truthful, be fearless

“Be gentle, be truthful, be fearless.”

-M.K. Gandhi

Metta Center presents a great opportunity to explore working with fear while following your path with an online and/or in-person course that will be starting in November.

Turning Fear into Power is a workshop series designed to help participants deepen their awareness of their heart’s longing, or sva-dharmaworking with stories and tools that help us to understand the role and effects that fear has or has had in our lives, and with an emphasis and intention to transform what scares us into what might possibly heal ourselves and others. This workshop is perfect for not only for students of nonviolence, but for all seeking illumination as they traverse their personal paths.

Workshop Facilitators: Stephanie Van Hook, Executive Director of the Metta Center for Nonviolence and Linda Sartor, author of Turning Fear into Power: One Woman’s Journey Confronting the War on Terror (2014). Besides a writer and courageous peace activist who has traveled many conflict zones, Linda is also a wilderness guide and has worked for decades taking people into and beyond what scares them in order to cultivate deeper inner-knowing. Read this interview Stephanie conducted with Linda for Waging Nonviolence.

This course has no "fee", though participants are invited to make a financial or skill-based contribution (i.e. volunteer hours) to support the mission of the Metta Center for Nonviolence.
