Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak just abruptly cancelled a planned meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece.
The reason?
Prime Minister Mitsotakis, in a televised interview on Sunday, called for the return of the Parthenon Sculptures.
For far too long, the British Museum had refused to return precious pieces of Greek history that were illegally removed from the Parthenon and other buildings by Lord Elgin at the turn of the 19th century.
